Thoughts to Myself after reading the below ~

I really do wonder why ppl make an issue about those who go to the so called “extremes” for beauty. We put even more pressure to be smart, but no one bashes that. We put ppl down if they are not “intelligent” and we put ppl down if they are not “good looking.” Why, cause its not superficial? What is superficial is things that we don’t see a “gain” to it. But beauty has its gains. Trying to improve your intelligence is as or even more damaging than improving looks.
Just let ppl do what they want. Its aesthetics and survival as well. Coded in our genes. common infants as young as when they were new borns prefer attractive faces than unattractive faces.

Also, instead of commenting on celebrities or ppl who go to the so called “extremes” (if we really see this as a problem) why don’t ppl think of ways to change the way society thinks and think of buffers for the ppl in our society, esp the younger generations? Get at the source, not the individual. We are a product of society and are greatly influenced by our environment.

ukiss-take-me-to-neverland:

I just made this picture to show you how far can Korean Stereotypes go.

This is Do Hwae Ji, very famous ulzzang has made several appereances on star king and she’s know to be very close to famous Korean celebrities.

The picture from the right it’s a picture of her with only double eyelid surgery. But if you see the picture in the left you can see how much her face has changed. Just by looking at it I can identify a few surgeries such as: Nose, Jaw line and chin, removal from eye fat and Foreahead implant.

Making her look like a total different person. She’s known to be very beautiful and she’s been extremely praised for her beauty. But to what cost?

The korean entertainment industry nowadays it’s only about looks and nothing more. Talent isn’t as praised as it should be and it has been replaced by looks, people who are beautiful get more prestige and reckoning than people who have what it really takes to be an entertainer.

There are even some korean celebrities who have openly admitted that they do not like ugly or fat girls and that they would never date one.

All of this is making korean youth insecure of itself. And korean girls and boys think they can only be happy by being pretty. Yes even boys do plastic surgery. This is the reason why plastic surgery is something extemely common in South Korea, it’s just as common as braces in America.

Nowaydays there are several korean celebrities who are extremely concerned about changing this. But they are not the majority.

South korean values are breaking down due to a change of priorities in this generation.
